Dear Fontana Community,
As the 2009-10 school year draws to an close, I want to express my appreciation
for the commitment of Fontana’s students, teachers, administrators and support
staff in making our mission “to graduate all students prepared to succeed in a
changing world” a reality. I also want to thank our incredible parents and the
community for their continued support and involvement. Educating children and
preparing them for the future is truly a team effort.
I believe we have much to be proud of in Fontana. Not a day goes by that I do
not encounter individuals who are passionate about improving the lives of our
students and providing them with the best education possible.
Last month, the Fontana Unified School District bid farewell to the Class of
2010 and we will soon be saying goodbye to our retiring staff members. These
administrators, teachers and support staff have earned their community’s
gratitude. They have given of their time and lives most generously to our
students and we all appreciate their dedication. We will also be bidding a sad
farewell to those affected by the reduction in force. This loss will not go
unnoticed.
Thank you again to our parents for your partnership in the education of your
child. I hope that the summer break gives you and your student a chance for
rejuvenation. Have a safe, restful and enjoyable summer and I look forward to
seeing you next year.
Best Wishes,
Cali L. Olsen-Binks
Superintendent
